This is for all of them.
The ones who never question what they have to do
they stand still in soul fading light.
Those who don’t give up fighting
The men and women risking their lives every day
and asking not a word of thanks.
The ones who answered duty’s call
they should be remembered by us all.
They leave the comfort of their homes every day
To face perils as yet unknown
They have been holding it together
better than any glue.
This is for them hiding their fatigue
of duty, of caring for those that
can’t even breathe without their care.
For them, security guards.
The janitors who still have to clean up.
To the fast-food workers
The cashier at the grocery store
the uber drivers
the volunteers at the frontlines
to the first responders.
We salute you because you are willing to fight.
the doctors with the restless spirit
who refuse to quit.
For their families who shed tears at night,
the husbands and wives who keep waiting in fading sight.

With the sacrifices that seem normal
for the families who have lost their loved ones.
to those who only lived once but shall stay forever
in our hearts and memories.
They love strangers.
continue to go to work
putting their lives on the line every day
Stepping into people’s lives and making a difference.
So many challenges and so much to do,
in so little time.
for the social worker at the elderly home
carrying so much immense responsibility
and with very little authority
we are all in this together.
With things continuing to escalate worldwide,
the dedication and sacrifices are appreciated.

We keep praying for your safety
working around the clock.
Even in the extreme of circumstances
you are trying your best.
So we ask, God, to watch over you,
each and every one.
the delivery drivers
the nurses
the police
the firefighters
putting the needs of others before your own!
we see you
we celebrate you
we are you
you are heroes.

We Are Grateful for all of You!
The teacher working from home.
May you stay strong
For the therapist
waiting 24 hrs on the phone line
waiting to hear everyone.
they all come with their stories, complications,
all unique
you offer help and you listen
sometimes you work behind the scenes
but slowly the change comes about.
It has all made a difference to those you touched
for the parents who looked to you
and you made them smile.
nothing lasts forever, not even this virus.
if we fall, we shall rise again
because we are men and women who are dreamers
….
It’s easy to forget the front lines when you’re sitting on your couch.
watching as the crisis unfolds on the news.
we owe them a debt of gratitude.
We are seeing some real grit!
As we watch the stars tonight,
may we remember them.
Meanwhile, please stay at home for them.
Every day is a day closer,
closer to everything being back to normal again.
YES, WE WILL RISE AGAIN!
